About The Position
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatments to patients with various types of cancer. This role involves working closely with oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA required
- ARRT (T) certification required
- Active California Radiation Therapist License required
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to handle emergency cases effectively
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Work with a variety of cancer cases, including emergency situations
- Perform imaging procedures such as CBCT, kV, and mV imaging
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning during treatments
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation
