Requirements

Associate of Applied Science degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
Valid Ohio Department of Health License .
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong knowledge of dosimetry, treatment planning, and patient chart management.
A patient-centered mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments, ensuring precision and patient safety every step of the way.
Perform CT simulations and gather essential data for treatment planning.
Monitor and support patients during treatment, watching for reactions or unusual events and taking appropriate action.
Maintain the highest standards of radiation safety for patients, staff, and yourself.
Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, leadership, and peers on treatment plans, departmental policies, and continuous improvements.
Participate in weekly chart rounds and conduct detailed patient chart checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Educate patients on what to expect during their treatment, providing compassionate and clear communication throughout their care journey.
