Radiation Therapist - Oncology - Days
About The Position
The Radiation Therapist role in Oncology is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. This position does not require weekend or holiday work but does include on-call duties once every two months. The Radiation Therapist will simulate treatment set-ups, perform dosimetric calculations, and accurately deliver ionizing radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. This role operates under the general supervision of the System Manager, Radiation Oncology, and involves assisting in patient care and management, while adhering to clinical, technical, and operational policies and procedures. Travel to Swedish, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospitals may be required as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program, required.
- Must be a candidate for ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology Therapy) certification. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within one year of start date into position.
- Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association, required.
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure, required.

- Previous experience with ARIA EMR
