About The Position

Our Radiation Oncology Department has an opening for 2 PRN Radiation Therapist to join our Team. The Radiation Therapist, as a member of the radiation oncology team, administers ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating diseases. They demonstrate a general understanding of anatomy and physiology, pathology, medical terminology, oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, radiation oncology techniques, radiation safety, and the psychosocial aspects of cancer.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a radiation therapy training program
• R.T. (T) certification and maintaining certification.
• Working knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations pertaining to radiation therapy
• Ability to interpret and deliver treatments per plans and relevant treatment protocols
• Experience with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging systems and electronic medical records
• Experience with the following techniques required: Breath Hold, SRS and SBRT, Superficial and HDR

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the area of Radiation Oncology is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Mosaiq highly preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
