About The Position
To administer ionizing radiation treatments to patients in a variety of age groups in accordance with the prescription from the physician and supervision of the Chief Radiation Therapist.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of radiation therapy with a temporary license or graduate of an approved school with current and valid New Jersey license.
- New graduates will be allowed time to pass the registry and may work on a temporary license.
- Current State of New Jersey license as a Radiation Therapist required.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Demonstrates effective interaction and communication (oral, writing, presenting) skills.
- Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details.
- Ability to function competently in stressful situations and changing work environment related to changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
- Ability to work cooperatively with the health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
- Ability to use analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively problem-solve.
Nice To Haves
- Current National Registry in Radiation Therapy or National Registry in Radiologic Technology preferred.
