About The Position

Per Diem Staffing Systems is a leading healthcare staffing agency in California with over 30 years of experience. They specialize in placing healthcare professionals in temporary or permanent roles within California's hospitals. This specific opening is for an experienced Radiation Therapist at Stanford Healthcare's Radiology/Oncology clinic in Palo Alto. It is a 13-week assignment with 8-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Experience with Aria and Varian True Beam.
BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
ARRT-RTT - Reg Tech-Rad Therapy ARRT certification.
CRT-T certification.
5+ years of Radiation Therapy experience.

Nice To Haves

AHC experience.

Responsibilities

Operate modern radiation therapy equipment and systems, including simulation, imaging, and treatment procedures.
Properly position patients for treatment as prescribed, utilizing knowledge of human anatomy.
Ensure safety and quality control in radiation therapy procedures.
Train, coach, and mentor Radiation Therapists and support staff.
Plan, assign, and review work performed by Radiation Therapists and support staff.
Stay current with developments in clinical practice.
Assume responsibility for department projects and initiatives, including safety, training, continuing education, performance, and quality improvement.
Communicate effectively and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships.
