About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to deliver safe and effective radiation treatments to patients. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care, ensure accurate treatment delivery, and support patients throughout their treatment journey.
Requirements
- Experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of radiation therapy procedures and safety standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required
- State licensure (Texas) required or eligible
Nice To Haves
- BLS Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients
- Perform simulation and treatment setup procedures
- Conduct basic dosimetric calculations as required
- Operate and calibrate radiation therapy equipment
- Monitor patients during treatment and assess reactions
- Provide education and support to patients regarding treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and medical physicists
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and clinical protocols
