About The Position

This role is for a Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology department at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital. The primary responsibility is to deliver precise radiation treatments, aligning prescribed doses with anatomical accuracy to ensure clinical efficacy. The therapist will collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists on complex treatment plans, document patient therapy, calibrate and manage linear accelerator technology, and maintain safety and regulatory standards in the clinical environment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Maryland Board of Physicians.
Radiation Therapist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) also accepted.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Deliver precise radiation treatments by aligning prescribed doses with anatomical accuracy to ensure the highest standards of clinical efficacy.
Collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to execute complex treatment plans, acting as a vital link in the patient’s oncology care team.
Document every stage of the patient’s therapy journey to maintain high-quality records that ensure safety and continuity of care.
Calibrate and manage advanced linear accelerator technology to guarantee equipment reliability and patient safety during every session.
Optimize the clinical environment by maintaining rigorous safety and regulatory standards, ensuring a sterile and supportive space for patient recovery.
