About The Position

Women's Cancer Institute of Arizona and The Specialty Alliance are seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their women’s oncology division in the Greater Phoenix market. This role involves providing follow-up care for radiation oncology patients, assessing disease status and treatment-related side effects, and managing acute and late effects of cancer therapy. The position also includes assisting with new patient consultations, coordinating care plans with radiation oncologists, triaging patient calls, and providing patient and family education. The role supports clinical documentation, care coordination, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Current NP licensure in the applicable state.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, patient-centered oncology environment.

Nice To Haves

• Oncology, acute care, or related specialty experience preferred.
• Prior oncology or radiation oncology experience.
• Experience with symptom management, survivorship care, and patient education.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary cancer care workflows and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide follow-up care for radiation oncology patients, including assessment of disease status and treatment-related side effects.
• Evaluate and manage acute and late effects of cancer therapy, including symptom management and supportive care.
• Assist with new patient consultations and coordinate care plans in collaboration with radiation oncologists.
• Triages patient calls, addresses clinical concerns, and provides recommendations for next steps.
• Participate in multidisciplinary care activities such as tumor boards, rounds, and team meetings.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, side effects, symptom management, and follow-up care.
• Support clinical documentation, care coordination, and continuity across the treatment course.
• Participate in quality improvement, policy development, and clinical process improvement as needed.
