Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • State medical license to practice in Texas
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiation oncology
  • Strong understanding of radiation therapy techniques and technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
  • Must be board certified

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and diagnostic assessments
  • Develop and implement tailored radiation treatment plans
  • Perform radiation therapy procedures in accordance with established protocols
  • Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Educate patients and families about treatment options and care plans
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulatory guidelines in all procedures
  • Participate in tumor board meetings and case discussions
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiation oncology treatment methods
