Radiation Oncologist
About The Position
The Radiation Oncologist provides clinical coverage in an outpatient and inpatient setting in Findlay, Ohio. The role serves adult patients only, with an average daily volume of 5–10 patients, and works as the sole provider. Coverage is scheduled December 21–24 and December 28–31, 2026, with December 21, 23, 28, and 30 identified as dates of particular importance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Coverage is clinical only. Travel and lodging are covered; malpractice insurance is not covered. The physician sees scheduled patients, including urgent consultations, follow-up visits, and patients receiving treatment. The role includes radiation therapy treatments, CT simulations, and management of patients during treatment, in coordination with the clinical support team. Available equipment includes TrueBeam Linear Accelerators and a Siemens Go-Sim CT Simulator. Support staff includes three RNs and one clinic secretary.
Requirements
- Board certified in Radiation Oncology.
- Active Ohio license or eligibility to apply.
- Radiation Oncology experience.
- Ability to function as the sole provider.
- Two professional references or completed references.
- Reference from a recent locum assignment, if applicable.
- Provide malpractice history and details.
Responsibilities
- See scheduled clinic patients, including urgent consultations, follow-up visits, and on-treatment patients.
- Perform radiation therapy treatments.
- Conduct CT simulations.
- Manage patients receiving treatment.
- Coordinate with the clinical support team.
