About The Position

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join their team at the Hudson Cancer Center. Located north of Tampa, Hudson is described as an inviting beach town. The facility is equipped with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, a GE CT simulator, and Siemens Pet-CT imaging. Treatment modalities include IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and HDR, utilizing the Eclipse treatment planning system and Aria R&V system. FCS operates nearly 100 oncology centers throughout Florida, with 10 offering radiation oncology services. The Hudson facility is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The position offers a competitive compensation structure leading to a productivity model, generous PTO, and reimbursement for CME. The practice emphasizes a multi-disciplinary approach with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and gynecologic oncologists.

Requirements

Full unrestricted Florida MD/DO License
Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
Extensive knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and techniques
Minimum of 2 years of experience required
Must pass background, drug, and nicotine screens
Must receive required vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption.

Responsibilities

Utilize Varian linear accelerators.
Work with ARIA and Eclipse network.
Collaborate with on-site Medical Physicists and Dosimetry.
Oversee radiation therapists, registered nurses, and clerical support.
Provide radiation oncology services in a community setting.
Participate in national clinical research studies of drugs and treatment protocols.
