Portneuf Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Radiation Oncologist to join their well-established team at Portneuf Cancer Center in Pocatello, Idaho. The team brings together a broad range of oncology expertise and strong collaborative relationships, allowing them to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care close to home. This position is ideal for a physician who is passionate about advancing cancer treatment, committed to meaningful patient impact, and eager to join a forward-thinking, growth-driven practice serving communities across southern Idaho. The role involves joining an established oncology group with 2 radiation oncology physicians and 2 medical oncology physicians. Clinical support staff includes 2 Rad Onc RN’s, 4 Radiation Therapists, Dosimetrist, Physicist, in-house oncology certified Pharmacist, Oncology Dietician, Social Worker, Nurse Navigator, and many more. The facility is equipped with a Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator (installed 2024 with Varian Identify SGRT), 12 chemo bays, and onsite CT. The center is QOPI certified. The call schedule is 1:3, described as very low burden. Working hours are Tuesday-Friday, 8am to 5pm. There is a close relationship with The Huntsman Cancer Center and University of Utah. This is a hospital-employed position with a full complement of medical and surgical specialists within the medical group. The EMR systems used are Epic, Aria & Eclipse. The position offers excellent work-life balance.
