About The Position

Join the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Mission Area within the Systems Engineering Center, where we design and develop advanced radar and early-warning sensor systems for the warfighter. We are seeking Radar Systems Engineers who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and are eager to support innovative sensor and radar programs. You will work alongside experienced engineers to define system architecture, develop requirements, perform analysis and modeling, and support integration, testing, and flight activities across the full product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date
  • Experience in Systems Engineering or knowledge of radar fundamentals
  • Experience with algorithm design, requirements development, software/hardware integration, data analysis using Matlab, and configuration management.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

  • Secret Security Clearance
  • 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Major: in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics.
  • Programming experience in Java, C++, Python.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB
  • Hands-on testing of electronic equipment in labs
  • Troubleshooting electronic or system-level issues
  • Signal processing, control theory, statistics, information theory, and detection methods
  • Imaging/pattern recognition
  • Data filtering (Kalman, batch, optimal estimation)
  • Advanced statistics
  • DOORS or CAMEO

Responsibilities

  • Support development, analysis, documentation, and verification of system requirements using DOORS
  • Generate system CONOPS and system architectures.
  • Assist with radar mode requirement development and system performance assessments.
  • Conduct modeling, simulation, and data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Python, and C++.
  • Participate in hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and hands-on laboratory testing.
  • Support verification, validation, flight test, production, and post-deployment activities.
  • Perform trade studies, functional/physical analyses, and MBSE-based system design.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, findings, and briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
