  • BS in EE, CE, or related field (ABET-accredited)
  • 5–9 yrs relevant experience; or MS + 3–7 yrs; or PhD + 1–3 yrs. Candidates without a degree but with strong demonstrated experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in radar algorithm development and/or signal analysis
  • Working knowledge of radar architectures, waveforms, and operational modes
  • Strong fundamentals in: DSP, tracker algorithms, MATLAB, radar simulation/modeling, FAA systems, radar waveforms (LFM, Barker/polyphase codes, LPI, etc.), radar modes (search/track/SAR/ISAR, etc.), EW concepts (RWR, ESM, ECM/ECCM), and Mark 99 Eliminator/DDCS systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems; growth potential into a technical lead role

Nice To Haves

  • Statistics/probability background; SIGINT/EW familiarity
  • Military or FAA-related radar systems background (RCS analysis, pulse-Doppler, SAR/ISAR, AESA/PESA)
  • RF test equipment proficiency (spectrum analyzers, VSAs); Python, GNU Radio
  • Experience with SPY-1, SPY-6, and/or SPY-7
  • Additional skills: electromagnetics, modern C++, Linux

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve radar signal processors and tracking algorithms for performance and latency
  • Research emerging algorithms from current literature and assess applicability to program needs
  • Support radar simulation/modeling (including EW environments), RF sensor field-testing, and sensor deployment
  • Apply DSP techniques including matched filtering, Doppler processing, CFAR detection, and tracking
  • Analyze and characterize radar waveforms, PRF patterns, modulation schemes, and performance parameters
  • Support analysis of radar emissions, ECCM, and LPI features
  • Contribute to reconstruction of radar system architectures, timing diagrams, and operational modes
