About The Position

University Physicians' Association is seeking an experienced part-time (20-25 hours per week) Radiologic Technologists (RAD Tech) for UT Lafollette Diagnostics, a fast-paced, high-volume medical practice. This position will educate and position our patients to obtain a diagnostic image in accordance with the physician's order.

Requirements

Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
Current TN Medical X-ray Operators License in MD office: Full certification
Knowledge of radiographic equipment DR and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems)

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1-year relevant imaging experience

Responsibilities

Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician.
Operates DR equipment.
Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time.
Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area.
Instructs patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
Maintains technique charts in compliance with state law.
Complies with infection control procedures.
Assist with radiology appropriate use criteria, radiology referrals, and prior authorizations.
Ability to maintain patience and composure when faced with challenging situations.
Outstanding customer service skills towards patients and team members.
