About The Position
The Rad Tech performs radiological procedures for patients of all age groups. The role involves positioning patients, selecting appropriate protocols, using required equipment, maintaining competencies, and following established imaging protocols. The technologist provides age-specific care and patient education in accordance with prescribed standards and practices, while adhering to radiation safety policies and dose-reduction principles.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or a JRCERT-accredited hospital-based training program.
- No experience required.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration required upon hire.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competence and proficiency in performing radiological procedures on patients of all age groups.
- Position patients, select the correct protocol, and use all required equipment.
- Maintain competencies for all related components.
- Accurately follow established imaging protocols for each exam performed.
- Provide quality age-specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
- Adhere to radiation safety policies and the principles of a viable dose-reduction program.
- Provide patient education and communication in accordance with prescribed standards.
