About The Position

This is a 13-week contract position for a RAD Tech working a Day Shift, 8 am - 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The role requires a VA BOM license, BLS certification, and ARRT registration, with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The facility is a Trauma 2 medical campus with a high patient volume across various areas including OR, ER, Trauma, Fluoro, portables, and outpatients. Special equipment includes O-arm and OEC Elite C-arms with Vascular capabilities. The facility is smoke/nicotine-free. Travelers are permitted to submit to only one job ID at a time. Previous VHC staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler. Submissions must include specific documentation, and RTO should be minimal. All travelers must attend an EPIC class. On-call duties may be required for certain areas.

Requirements

  • VA BOM license required (must have license in hand or proof of application).
  • BLS required.
  • ARRT registered required.
  • 2 years of experience required.
  • Proof of license required; travelers MUST have a VA license ACTIVE/IN HAND at time of submission. Travelers with pending licenses will be rejected.
  • Updated/accurate interview availability.
  • Provide a statement of EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform X-ray procedures.
  • Operate various radiology equipment including GE, Fuji, Konica, Siemens, and Samsung.
  • Utilize special equipment such as O-arm and OEC Elite C-arms with Vascular capabilities.
  • Perform procedures in various settings including OR, ER, Trauma, Fluoro, portables, and outpatients.
  • Administer contrast media as needed.
  • Participate in on-call duties if required for areas like OT, IR, Cath Lab.
  • Complete required modules during orientation.
