Requirements

• Operating x-ray equipment
• Making radiographs of designated portions of the body
• Positioning and instructing patients for radiologic or fluoroscopic exams
• Adjusting x-ray equipment
• Determining proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each radiograph
• Ensuring all hospital mandated safety precautions are followed

Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
• Positions and instructs the patient for radiologic or fluoroscopic exams, adjusts x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each radiograph.
• Ensures all hospital mandated safety precautions are followed.
• Performs other duties as required.
