About The Position

Program starts November 9, 2026. This is a 100% FTE position with a schedule of 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. The apprentice will attend classes at 610 N Whitney Way, Madison, WI and participate in clinical experiences at University Hospital, UW Health Sports Medicine Clinic, 1 South Park Street clinic and UW Health East Madison Hospital. This role is an opportunity to start a career in radiology at the #1 hospital in Wisconsin. The Radiologic Tech – MRI Apprentice will complete the program and obtain an ARMRIT certification in 14 months. They will participate in competency-based classroom and clinical instruction, becoming increasingly independent in performing complex and specialized procedures through program progression. The apprentice will perform technical imaging examinations under general supervision using a wide variety of imaging equipment and computers.

Requirements

  • Completion of college coursework, including college level science.
  • 6 months of direct patient care experience.
  • ARMRIT Certification within 14 months.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR within 3 months.

  • College level science includes coursework that covers scientific principles, and concepts such as Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, & Chemistry.
