About The Position

The Rack Loader manually loads bread onto conveyors and manages equipment racks while maintaining quality control through label verification and shortage reporting. The position supports smooth production flow by maintaining department hygiene, following safety protocols, and reporting equipment malfunctions or product concerns. Work takes place in warehouse and production environments with exposure to strong aromas, airborne ingredient dust, and industrial machinery. Employees must use required personal protective equipment and follow applicable safety procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education, training, or experience (GED).
Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Regularly lift, bend, push, and pull.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good mathematical skills.
Follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

Lift hot 25-pound loaves of bread from a conveyor and place them on racks.
Frequently push and pull full racks into the correct order.
Verify that batch numbers and product codes on labels match.
Return unused labels to the supervisor for recording.
Perform department sanitation as needed, including dry cleaning and wet washing.
Detect equipment malfunctions and report them to the supervisor.
Comply with safety requirements and company policies.
Report shortages to the lead operator.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required, as well as food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Report shortages, inconsistencies, or quality concerns to the lead operator or supervisor.
Perform other related duties as needed.
