About The Position

The Race Crew Tech is responsible for organizing race equipment and race-building operations as directed by the Race Manager or Snowsports Manager. The role sets courses for outside race practices as needed and assists with race-day needs. It also sets up and operates timing equipment when necessary.

Training includes SafeSport online modules, coaching fundamentals online modules, a pre-season online meeting covering mountain policies and procedures, and training on Mohawk race equipment, hill space, and course setting.

Requirements

• Understand how to properly use race timing equipment or be willing to learn.
• Have strong course-setting skills or be willing to learn.
• Be able to bend and ski while carrying up to 50 pounds of gates and other race-related equipment.
• Be able to work extended periods outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work weekends and holidays.
• Own appropriate ski or snowboard gear.
• Have reliable transportation for inclement-weather circumstances.
• Hold USSSA Alpine Official credentials.
