About The Position

The Race Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day communication and administration of the Blue Mountain/Jozo Weider Race and Freestyle program. This role involves working closely with the other Race Administrator, Supervisors, and the Manager of Race/Head Coach. The Race Administrator will also serve as the point of sale representative for Race and Freestyle programming and families, and will communicate daily with onsite recreational service departments, including snow school and summer programming, sales, guest services, and marketing. Additionally, they will assist with daily guest check-ins and support the Snow School team with overall administrative requirements. This position requires assisting as needed on race and event days, both indoors and outdoors, and acting as a champion of the “Guest Experience”.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of administrative experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) from mid-December to end of March.
  • Successful applicants (18yrs of age+) are required to provide a Criminal Background Check.

Nice To Haves

  • Past administrative experience at Blue Mountain preferred.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in business or administrative is an asset.
  • Previous ski, race, freestyle, coaching and/or ski instructing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day communication and administration of the Blue Mountain/Jozo Weider Race and Freestyle program.
  • Work closely with the other Race Administrator, Supervisors, and the Manager of Race, Head Coach.
  • Serve as the point of sale representative for Race and Freestyle programming and families, and for internal races and events as needed.
  • Communicate daily with onsite recreational service departments including snow school and summer programming, sales, guest services, and marketing.
  • Assist with daily guest check-ins throughout the programming day.
  • Work with the Snow School team on overall administrational requirements.
  • Manage all staff information.
  • Work with the department’s leadership team to keep race, competition, and events staff scheduling and payroll up to date.
  • Assist as needed on race and event days, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Be a champion of the “Guest Experience”.
