About The Position

The AstraZeneca US BioPharma Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) Team has a significant presence in respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, and IPF, with a pipeline of differentiated medicines. The pipeline also includes promising assets in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. As a District Sales Manager for the R&I Primary Care Team, you will play a crucial role in leveraging our scientific capabilities to positively impact patients' lives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of demonstrated Sales, B2B, or Commercial experience, or a combination of pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional, or related industry experience.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and/or people management experience.
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of Pharmaceutical Sales Leadership experience.
  • Exposure and/or experience in other functional areas of the business (e.g., Sales Training, Customer Solutions, Sales Operations, Managed Care, and Marketing).

Responsibilities

  • Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists (PSS) to achieve performance objectives through field day requirements, effective coaching, mentoring, and resource utilization aligned with interpersonal vision.
  • Develop people and drive business by observing PSS interactions with key customers, providing individual mentorship and feedback for current role success and future growth.
  • Act as a role model and liaison, encouraging dedication, trust, teamwork, and motivation for the shared vision by facilitating team communication, morale, and efficiency within the work unit and cross-functional teams.
  • Actively seek to discover and meet the needs of internal and external customers by building relationships, identifying strategic business opportunities, and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Lead multiple priorities and resources related to individual and group efforts.
  • Take ownership for redirecting efforts as needed to deliver high efficiency and quality of work from self and others.
  • Demonstrate strong business ethics, understand basic business principles, and interpret available resources to make sound business decisions that help achieve standards of business excellence.
