Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional writing experience specifically within the music industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personalities. You can comfortably collaborate with product managers, developers, and executive stakeholders to align and coordinate project goals.
  • A strong understanding of the modern music ecosystem, specifically music distribution and promotion.
  • Exceptional writing skills that can balance educational, high-value editorial content with conversion-focused copywriting.
  • Proven ability to manage your own content pipelines, from research to publication.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices to help our content stand out in modern search landscapes.
  • You are a musician, producer, or audio engineer who has personally distributed and promoted your own music. You speak the language of our users because you are one of our users.

Responsibilities

  • Own your content’s lifecycle, from ideation and content calendar management to high-value execution on our blog and product websites.
  • Act as the bridge between content and other departments, coordinating timelines and deliverables to ensure brand alignment.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and keyword research to uncover high-impact content opportunities that resonate with independent musicians and producers.
  • Write compelling, clear, and actionable copy that adheres strictly to LANDR’s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Seamlessly blend engaging storytelling with high-converting marketing copy to guide users through the creator journey.
