The R&D Test Engineer owns testing for active hardware development programs, ensuring prototypes are evaluated before advancing. The role designs test methods, builds fixtures, executes protocols, and prepares compliant documentation to give design engineers reliable data for decisions. Testing spans mechanical assemblies, fluid delivery systems, electromechanical subsystems, handpieces, and energy-based modalities across the Hydrafacial platform and next-generation device lines. The engineer serves as the primary test engineer for R&D prototypes, conducting hands-on bench testing and developing new methods as prototype configurations and subsystems evolve. The role also investigates failures and anomalies, documents results in accordance with design controls and applicable regulations and standards, and collaborates across engineering, Quality, and Regulatory teams to support program milestones, design transfer, and qualification planning. This is a full-time, 100% on-site position in Long Beach, California. The bench-centric role involves extended periods of hands-on testing and fixture work, with routine exposure to pressurized fluid, electrical energy, elevated temperatures, or mechanical loading in a controlled, safety-compliant environment. Base pay is $95,000–$110,000 annually, plus bonus.
