About The Position

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role supports the electrical design, development, and delivery of switch-mode power supplies used within Industrial, Healthcare, and Technology applications. The position requires testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and repairs of AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies. Key responsibilities include supporting the product design within an R&D team, providing technical expertise in new product design and modifications, building prototypes to documentation, and working closely with design engineers and technicians to achieve optimal solutions. The role also involves constructing and testing early prototype breadboards and magnetics, performing fault reproduction, troubleshooting, system characterization, and root cause analysis, delivering comprehensive technical reports, and participating in new product development during the qualification phase for training and ramp-up.

Requirements

  • Minimum of associate’s degree in electronic engineering or a related technical discipline, Bsc is preffered.
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment for characterization and design of power supplies and systems (oscilloscopes, DMMs, EMI analyzers, loads, sources, etc.).
  • Understanding of analog, mixed-signal, and/or power semiconductor operational characteristics, with the ability to apply fault isolation techniques at both component and board levels.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and across functional departments.
  • A proactive and aggressive attitude, with the ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion circuit topologies, such as fly-back, forward, boost, buck, and buck-boost converters is highly preffered.
  • Experience with high voltage systems and firmware debugging is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a R&D team of electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineers and technicians on supporting product design in line with XP Core Values.
  • Provide technical expertise in new basic product design and modification of existing products.
  • Responsible for the building of prototypes to documentation
  • Working closely with the electrical and mechanical design engineers and technicians to achieve the optimum solution
  • Constructing and testing of early prototype breadboards and magnetics
  • Perform fault reproduction, troubleshooting, system characterization, and root cause analysis of product issues, while ensuring efficient bug tracking and resolution.
  • Deliver comprehensive technical reports
  • Participate in new product development during the qualification phase for training and ramp-up.
