About The Position

This role involves R&D testing of medical products (catheters). A wide range of tests could be performed including x-ray analysis, tensile testing, fatigue testing, and electrical testing. The exact assignment will depend on candidate skills and aptitude. Some testing could be repetitious in nature for short periods; however, there will be a variety of tests and candidate versatility will be important. The position requires a high degree of independence and the ability to read and interpret direction. Quality Systems Duties & Responsibilities: Build quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

Requirements

PC knowledge/experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and file sharing/saving abilities.
Ability to follow protocols and capture data accurately.
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline (assembler, operator, test technician).
1 year of related experience.
Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
Use of computers and technology.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of and experience in use of test equipment relating to tensile testing, microscope measurement and electrical measurement systems.
Past experience operating any type of complex equipment (many things can be learned on the job).

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical testing such as pull testing, flex testing, torque testing, and extension/retraction testing.
Conduct high voltage/current testing and simulated-use testing.
Set up semi-automated testing equipment with meticulous requirements.
Perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting (uncommon).
Perform a variety of tests including x-ray analysis, tensile testing, fatigue testing, and electrical testing.
Ensure quality is built into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
