Our AFT-Service Engineering team is looking for a proactive, business partner centric R&D Support Coordinator to join the team located in the Indianapolis Indiana area. The qualified candidate will successfully build and maintain partnerships across the scientific community, internally with Research and externally with OEM’s, to deliver business impact solutions and be dedicated to the support, preventative maintenance, calibration, trouble shooting and issue resolution of laboratory Research equipment. The candidate will work both independently in a team setting, in collaboration with current team members and processes, and closely with OEM representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree with course work related to business administration or other relevant coursework and 3-5 years of applicable experience.
  • Base understanding of laboratory processes, vendors and equipment.
  • Strong organization, communication, problem solving, collaboration, customer service and time management skills.
  • Experience with work management tools (e.g., Accruent Maintenance Connection).
  • Knowledge and experience relative to safety and health.
  • Have the right to work in the U.S. without restriction.
  • Applicants must be self-motivated and work well with others in a cross-functional team environment to organize, schedule, document and facilitate scheduled support and PM efforts.
  • Possess strong communication, documentation, and training skills.
  • Ability to adapt and gain new skills, suggest and drive internal process improvements and present a professional and positive service-oriented disposition.

Responsibilities

  • Track, schedule, verify and document execution of PM’s and calibrations for instruments, including for GLP compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with facilities and environmental safety and health to meet site standards for OEM visitors including issuing Core Permits.
  • Utilize work management software to schedule support tasks, track issue resolutions & progress, instrument history and to communicate with peers and business partners.
  • Document and guide service records (including GLP compliance), asset management efforts and safety inspections.
  • Collaborate with OEM vendors such as: Hamilton, Agilent, HighRes, Sciex, Beckman, etc.
  • Track and manage lab instrument parts order and inventory.
  • Work in a business casual environment with flexible work/life opportunities.
