About The Position

The Research & Development Stability Technician is responsible for testing and evaluating samples submitted for stability studies and documenting results in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). This role supports R&D projects by ensuring accurate sample tracking, testing, and reporting while helping maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education in a science-related field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using a viscometer.
  • Experience using a pH meter.
  • Color-match or color evaluation experience.
  • Experience in personal care or cosmetics manufacturing.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including SOPs and work instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize samples for stability testing according to established protocols.
  • Place and retrieve samples from designated storage conditions at scheduled intervals.
  • Perform routine laboratory testing using approved methods and work instructions.
  • Accurately record and maintain stability data and related documentation.
  • Communicate test results and report any out-of-specification findings to R&D management.
  • Maintain temperature logs, calibration records, and other laboratory documentation.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, validation activities, and general laboratory upkeep.
  • Follow all laboratory safety, environmental, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
