R&D, Senior Scientist
About The Position
Castle Biosciences is growing and looking to hire a full-time R&D, Senior Scientist. This role will drive the generation and communication of scientific evidence supporting Castle Biosciences' dermatologic oncology products. The Senior Scientist will collaborate across R&D, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Program Management, and Data Analytics to transform complex clinical and molecular data into meaningful insights that inform patient care and business strategy. This highly visible role involves analyzing and visualizing data, developing publications and scientific presentations, communicating findings to diverse audiences, and building collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to advance research initiatives. Success requires a unique blend of scientific expertise, analytical rigor, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment.
Requirements
- PhD in life sciences or a master's degree with at least 5 years of industry experience
- Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills (with proficiency in the English language)
- Demonstrated independent writing experience in generating scientific deliverables (abstracts, posters, short oral presentations, etc.), with first-hand experience in the publication process
- Demonstrated experience with clinical data analysis and statistics
- Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
