About The Position

The R&D Product Systems Intern will collaborate with the Data Analyst in the PCG Product Systems Data Group to apply data science and analytics to data reports, dashboards, digital initiatives, and data visualization projects supporting R&D. The intern will work with the analyst and key PCG tools to track data trends and metrics, contribute to assigned technical projects, and present a project summary at the end of the internship. The program is a comprehensive 12-week learning experience in the Performance Coatings Group R&D Division. Interns receive a mentor, participate on a project team with periodic performance reviews, and attend networking and learning events while gaining experience in work groups with other interns and co-ops.

The position is based 100% on-site at Sherwin-Williams’ Global Headquarters in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. It is scheduled to run for 12 weeks from May through August 2027, with a start in May 2027, and requires availability for up to 40 hours per week. Relocation assistance is not provided. Hires must complete a background check before employment begins.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) at the time of the internship.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Understanding of statistical modeling, data wrangling, data cleaning, and data transformation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week for 12 weeks from May through August 2027, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.

Nice To Haves

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in data science or a master’s degree in data science.

Responsibilities
