About The Position

This is a 12-week internship in the Performance Coatings Group R&D Division, running from May through August 2027. The intern will collaborate with the PCG Product Systems Data Group’s Data Analyst and other team members on data science and analytics projects, including developing data reports and dashboards, supporting digital initiatives, and creating data visualizations for R&D functions. The intern will work with analysts and PCG tools to track data trends and key metrics and will be assigned technical projects that apply data science and analytics skills. A summary of the projects will be presented at the end of the internship.

The intern will be assigned a mentor, participate actively on a project team, and receive periodic performance reviews. The program also includes networking and learning events and opportunities to gain experience in work groups and collaborate with other interns and co-ops. The position is 100% onsite at Sherwin-Williams’ new Global Headquarters in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. No relocation assistance is provided. A background check is required before employment begins.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program or higher in a STEM field at the time of the internship.
• Have experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Understand statistical modeling, data wrangling, data cleaning, and data transformation.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Be willing to work up to 40 hours per week for 12 weeks from May to August 2027, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.8.

Nice To Haves

• Previously completed an internship or co-op program.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in data science or a master’s degree in data science.

Responsibilities
