R&D Product Developer
About The Position
Stefanini Group is hiring! Stefanini is looking for an R&D Product Developer in East Hanover, NJ. This role involves working independently and with a cross-functional team to plan, lead, and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D, regulatory, marketing, and manufacturing requirements. The candidate will effectively communicate status and risks, and plan, lead, and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. Additionally, the role includes planning, leading, and coordinating development activities such as product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, and consumer test preparation. This candidate will be co-leading this project with the Hiring Manager, interacting with senior leaders and suppliers. Experience with pilot plant/trials work and ingredient troubleshooting is a significant plus.
Requirements
- BS in Food Science
- 3-5 years of experience
- Experienced in Food Industry Manufacturing environment (Preferred in Biscuit Snacking)
- Knowledge in ingredient functionality & commercialization
- Anti-Slip / Steel toed shoes are a requirement for this position
- Comfortable working with several different groups of stakeholders, senior leadership, and suppliers.
Nice To Haves
- Pilot plant / trials work (ingredient troubleshooting) is a huge plus.
- Experience with ingredient troubleshooting and pilot plant or trialing is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
