About The Position

Castle Biosciences is growing and looking to hire a full-time R&D, Medical Writer to work from their Pittsburgh, PA @ Nova Place office location. This role is crucial in developing and writing scientific literature that demonstrates the value of Castle Bioscience's products. The Medical Writer will be responsible for writing, submitting, and revising manuscripts, preparing conference materials focused on clinical validation, clinical utility, and scientific reviews. This role involves close collaboration with R&D team members, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure accuracy and quality. Additionally, the position requires reviewing, summarizing, and communicating scientific literature, as well as creating marketing and commercial materials for customer-facing teams. A significant portion of the work involves computer-based tasks.

Requirements

A degree in life sciences (MS required)
Demonstrable experience independently writing scientific manuscripts and abstracts
Demonstrable experience creating posters and short oral presentations
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while working in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral communication skills
Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Inkscape/Illustrator)
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Writing, submitting, and revising manuscripts
