Responsibilities

Participates in defining R&D plans within his/her area in coherency with his/her Business Unit development plan.
Draws up the schedule for the developments he/she is in charge of and allocates resources accordingly.
Oversees the team he/she is in charge of.
Oversees the various development stages of developments under his/her responsibility (feasibility, conception, testing and product validation).
Calls on resources inside and outside the group (technical experts, laboratories …) and/or collaborates with customers/suppliers as required.
Manages his/her cost center budget and takes part in drawing up investment needs.
Manages tax relief and funded collaborative projects.
Manages intellectual properties and organizes the technical watch and the benchmark.
Possibly communicates externally (participates to conferences, experts clubs, competitive clusters…).
When necessary runs technical missions at the clients' facilities.
