Oratomic is on a mission to build the world's first fault-tolerant quantum computer. We are hiring an R&D Machinist to make custom parts for our quantum computers. You'll work from engineering drawings, rough sketches, or conversations with the scientists and engineers who need the parts. You'll figure out how to make them, program and operate the machines, and see each part through to completion. You'll be responsible for our in-house machining equipment and coordinate with outside machine shops when needed. We're looking for someone who enjoys precision machining, likes working on a wide variety of one-off parts, and wants to understand how their work fits into the larger system. You'll work closely with a small team of scientists, engineers, and technicians.
