About The Position

Hands-on R&D Formulator responsible for developing, optimizing, and commercializing liquid nutritional products in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. Owns formulations from concept through production with a focus on speed, scalability, compliance, and product performance. This role requires strong technical expertise, a solutions-driven mindset, and the ability to execute with precision and urgency.

Requirements

Proven experience formulating liquid dietary supplements within a CDMO/CMO environment
Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, solubility, stability, and flavor systems in liquid applications
Demonstrated ability to take products from concept through commercialization
Experience scaling formulations into manufacturing environments
Hands-on, solutions-oriented problem solver with a strong sense of urgency
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Working knowledge of FDA and cGMP requirements
Strong cross-functional and customer-facing communication skills

Responsibilities

Formulate liquid nutritional products from concept through commercialization
Design formulations with a focus on stability, bioavailability, flavor, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
Execute bench trials, pilot batches, and scale-up activities to ensure seamless production readiness
Drive cross-functional execution with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service from PO through final production
Serve as the technical lead with customers—present formulations, guide product direction, and translate needs into commercially viable solutions
Clearly communicate formulation strategy, trade-offs, and timelines while building credibility and trust with clients
Troubleshoot formulation and production challenges including stability, compatibility, and process deviations
Evaluate and select raw materials, flavors, and functional ingredients aligned with customer and regulatory requirements
Ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, and labeling standards
Maintain accurate formulas, specifications, batch records, and supporting documentation
Continuously improve formulations, processes, and overall product performance
