The primary responsibility will be assisting with the mechanical design of various products of the Stryker Endoscopy portfolio with particular focus on hand-held medical imaging products. This is a preferred 8-month co-op term, preferably aimed at applicants in a master’s program or in their 4th/3rd year of a Biomedical, Mechanical, Mechatronics (or similar) program. It would be advantageous to have completed 2 to 3 previous co-op terms. This position will require mostly in-office time at our Toronto location. This position provides an opportunity to learn about the design, development, and implementation of medical devices within a quality management system. It provides opportunities to design in CAD and exposure to fabrication techniques (3D printing, machining, etc.). It also provides an opportunity to learn ASTM standards for drawings as well as other critical engineering skill sets.
