About The Position

As an R&D Engineer at Euroline Steel Windows & Doors, you will develop and enhance custom steel window and door products. You will design, validate, and industrialize new solutions to address market needs and meet regulatory standards, collaborating with design, manufacturing, engineering, production, and quality assurance teams. The role also includes researching and analyzing technologies and materials, improving product performance and durability, identifying product and manufacturing improvements, and contributing to the strategic direction of Euroline’s products.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Skilled and experienced with SolidWorks.
• Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical documents, including building codes, government policies, and testing standards.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of chemical and physical properties of metals, including machinability, welding, and how chemical and physical processes affect part features such as dimensioning, tolerance, and finishing.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality System Requirements.
• Able to interpret written and oral instructions.
• Able to work with co-workers to resolve work issues.
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good judgment and decision-making.
• Ability to develop drawings and models from limited information.
• Originality and willingness to try various solutions when problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

• Skilled with AutoCAD and/or DraftSight.
• Ability to perform engineering loading and stress calculations on products.
• Engineering experience in windows and doors.

Responsibilities

• Develop new product offerings and improve existing products as directed by the Product Development Leadership Team, managing projects from concept through production launch.
• Create complete product designs and supporting deliverables for Sales and Marketing, including component drawings, R&D samples, and conceptual development support.
• Coordinate internal and regulatory validation requirements and work with Engineering to industrialize new and improved products for production.
• Develop standardized manufacturing and drawing packages for each product type and integrate approved print packages into the Drafting and Configuration teams.
• Partner with Engineering and Production to establish and standardize product tolerance requirements.
• Develop and maintain product references and stay current on industry products, standards, and processes, sharing relevant information as needed.
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality in accordance with company policy.
• Uphold Euroline’s core values in work and interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
