The Opportunity The Broadcom Workload General Currency team in Plano, Texas develops the products which ensure data operations at the world’s largest banks, insurance companies, retailers and more. Clearly, this demands exceptional innovation from the best and brightest minds - which is where you come in.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  • Prior experience as a mainframe software developer.
  • Expertise in the following: IBM Assembler on z/OS, z/OS Language Environment (LE).
  • Experience with ASM, Pyhton language.
  • Expertise with unit testing frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in mainframe environments - zOS, TSO, JCL.
  • Experience with mainframe programming languages - Assembler, C, C++, Metal cL, COBOL, REXX.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop innovative new solutions that will help to shape the future direction of Broadcom.
  • Work within a scrum team in an agile development environment, with an opportunity to gain exposure to many of the key agile roles.
  • Maintain and design code running on mainframe products that meet functional and business requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Participate in test plan reviews and develop automated test scripts to deliver high quality software solutions.
