About The Position

Seeking a highly motivated Quoting Specialist to assist in the preparation, analysis, and sending of quotes for a variety of motor products. Reporting to the Quote Team lead, this position will serve as a key member of the motor quoting team. This is a hands-on role responsible for facilitating a variety of quoting activities that are important to Marathon’s ability to minimize price erosion while still meeting the customer’s needs. This role will be mentored by experienced quoting team members and will work closely with engineering to ensure success in costing of product, maintaining high service levels, and communicating with other teams all to benefit of our key stakeholders. Successful candidate has the desire to develop their motor and business knowledge while contributing meaningful activities to Marathon’s quoting team.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel
• Analytical skills
• High degree of accuracy
• Detail oriented
• Minimum of 5 years of previous customer service or related experience

Responsibilities

• Creating a quote using price list, modifiers, qualifiers, pricing attributes using our quote systems in quoting system.
• Working with the Vertical Marketing Managers to develops sales growth and margin improvement strategies using market trends and available consumer or industry analytics’ and metrics
• Assists in all report generation to support sales, marketing and logistics
• Effectively resolves customer information, pricing, and item availability issues for customer service
• Partners with Marketing team to evaluate current product pricing and develop optimal pricing strategies
• Determines strategic competitive pricing levels through analysis of competitors’ selling prices
• Analyze customer specifications to ensure product quote meets all customers’ requirements
