About The Position

The Quote Specialist provides quotes to customers by utilizing sales and technical knowledge for the preparation of quote packages.

Knowledge of product lines and pricing preferred
Ability to work with little to no supervision
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail
Proficient computer skills
Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word or equivalent applications
Ability to multitask

Prepare itemized cost estimates of products or bid requests
Interact with the sales team, contractors, engineers, and purchasing to determine the best products to be used on the assigned projects
Interact with manufacture representatives to obtain the best possible cost information
Work in collaboration with, and provide support and guidance to co-workers with the mutual goal of meeting or exceeding goals and objectives
Manage the quote process to ensure that all supporting documentation is received and submitted within the specified guidelines
Build rapport with customers and work to ensure they receive excellent service
Use computer databases to retrieve necessary customer and inventory information
Provide pricing, delivery, and other order information to customers
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Report and document Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Continuous Improvements
Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards for the site
Make decisions within the limits of general standards or procedures
Report near misses and incidents and cooperate with investigations
