About The Position

The Quote Specialist provides pricing solutions to GMS customers based on preset pricing levels conveyed through the quote system. This role is responsible for tracking projects through the tracking system with assistance from job source generation companies and the sales team. The company is a national building materials distributor that values its team members and invests in training and work-life balance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associate Degree preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite
Ability to stay organized and complete quotes paying attention to detail and self-checking projects.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while also collaborating with others to get the job done.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships at every level of the organization; invest in building relationships with the Field Operations and Field Support Center team members.
Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.
Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks.
Must be able to multitask.
Must be able to receive and analyze information.
Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records regarding projects and our win loss ratio.
Produce customer quotes quickly and accurately.
Track projects and keep the project information current.
Work with outside sales and become a liaison to coordinate sales and special job pricing.
Communicate and help implement pricing changes as needed.
