About The Position

Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Quotations individual is responsible for quoting plumbing and mechanical projects in the territory Big Rivers Marketing covers. This person will be taking plans and specs off public websites and quoting product for manufacturers that we represent. This role also helps our Business Development and Territory Manager team identify opportunities for specifications and large projects.

Requirements

• Knowledge of construction documents and industry terms is required
• Candidate will have valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle
• Experience using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a minimum requirement

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a commercial project Estimating role a plus
• Experience with an estimation or quotations software package is a plus
• Higher Education including some technical background is a plus

Responsibilities

• Review commercial specs and plans to bid product we represent
• Cross competitors’ product to those manufacturers we represent
• Enter projects into quotes systems and bid out line items
• Ensure pricing is correct on bid project
• Identify large projects and send leads to Business Development team
• Identify opportunities to gain specs with engineers and send to Business Development team.
