Lubricates the moving parts of vehicles. Trains with an experienced technician for 30 to 60 days, during which the experienced technician verifies all work completed. Performs work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Sells lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services. Maintains records on customers. Drains oil from the crankcase and refills with the required amount of oil. Replaces oil and air filters. Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replaces or replenishes as necessary. Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed. Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants. Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor. Documents all work performed on the repair order. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean and notifies the service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Completes lubrication service according to dealership and manufacturer quality and time standards, maintaining and ensuring quality service for every customer’s experience. Keeps the shop area neat and clean. Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals, returning them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues immediately to management. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager. Keeps current on all training requirements, such as GM training, Compliance training, and other training as assigned by the manager. Sets a good example by maintaining a healthy work demeanor and cooperating with other managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork. Represents Puklich Chevrolet positively when out in the community.
