Quick Lube Technician

About The Position

We are looking for a Quick Lube Technician to join the growing team. The role involves checking vehicle systems and components, identifying potential problems, driving vehicles for testing, inspecting and refilling fluids, and accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles. The technician will also perform routine maintenance tasks, including checking tire pressure, lubricating fittings, and installing oil drain plugs and oil filters. Candidates should have a strong automotive background and the ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and service specifications.

Requirements

Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities.
Effective analytical and communication skills, and eagerness to improve.
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
High school diploma or GED.
One year of experience in a service department.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

ASE certification or a technical degree.

Responsibilities

Test vehicle systems and components to ensure they are secure and working properly.
Isolate systems or components that may have caused a problem.
Drive vehicles for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
Ensure tires are properly inflated and clean and lubricate fittings as needed.
Install new oil drain plugs and oil filters, and communicate oil levels to teammates.
Diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately.
Repair or replace worn parts before they cause vehicle breakdown or damage.
Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks.
