About The Position
Dahl Automotive is seeking a part-time Quick Lane Technician for their state-of-the-art 10-bay Quick Lane facility in Onalaska, WI. This fast-paced role involves performing oil changes, tire rotations, topping off fluids, and other light maintenance. The position offers opportunities for growth and training in more complex work, with a potential career path to the main shop. Both entry-level candidates and those with previous automotive experience are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Understanding of automobiles
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations and other light maintenance on vehicles.
- Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly.
- Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
- Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed.
- Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates.
- Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks.
