About The Position

Logiqal is developing a scaled quantum computer using neutral atom qubit technology. The Quantum Hardware Intern will work directly with physicists and engineers to build the company’s next-generation quantum computer. Intern projects are technically substantial and contribute directly to optical, mechanical, atomic physics, or software systems. The role is open to current undergraduate, MS, or PhD students at US-based institutions and is performed on-site at the lab near Princeton, New Jersey. Compensation is $30–$50 per hour, with an additional housing stipend for interns relocating to the Princeton area. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; applications received before November 19 are guaranteed full consideration.

Requirements

  • Be a current undergraduate, MS, or PhD student at a US-based institution.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to design, build, debug, and iterate quickly.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm for building real hardware.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in atomic physics, optics, or laser physics.
  • Experience with experimental data acquisition and analysis.
  • Programming experience in Python or C++ and computational physics.
  • Mechanical engineering experience.
  • Study in physics, electrical engineering, computer science, optics, mechanical engineering, applied math, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Work with physicists and engineers to help build the next-generation quantum computer.
  • Contribute to technically substantial projects in optical, mechanical, atomic physics, or software systems.
  • Design, build, debug, and iterate on hardware and related systems.

Benefits

  • Housing stipend if relocating to the Princeton area.
