About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for tenders, proposals, and variations, analyzing project documents, and supporting project managers with cost advice. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, process-driven, and focused on efficiency, with a strong understanding of estimating databases and pricing schedules. Performance will be measured by estimate precision, speed, contribution to tender success, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for tenders, proposals, and variations
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and scope documents
• Build up rates for labour, materials, and subcontractors
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Identify risks and opportunities within estimates
• Assist in preparing and submitting tenders
• Ensure estimates are completed within required timeframes
• Maintain consistency across pricing and submissions
• Price variations and scope changes
• Support PMs with cost advice during delivery
• Assist with cost planning and budgeting
• Maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules
• Input job cost data and pricing records
• Keep all estimate documentation up to date
• Prepare take-offs and templates
• Support CRM updates and document management
• Assist quote follow-ups and pipeline tracking
• Prepare estimating reports and cost comparisons
• Support sales pipeline reporting
• Ensure data accuracy
• Use AI/tools to speed up estimating and admin tasks
• Follow and improve SOPs
